Monthly Update – October 2025

Celebrating a Remarkable Month of Impact, Community, and God’s Faithfulness

Uniting Hope is a faith-centered 501(c)(3) nonprofit that recruits, trains, licenses, and supports foster families across Georgia. Through strong partnerships with churches and Georgia’s Department of Family & Children Services, our mission is to place children in safe, loving homes—and walk alongside families every step of the way.

This October was full of moments worth celebrating. Here’s a look at what your support made possible.

Our First Gala Was Incredible!

We are still in awe of how beautifully the community showed up for the very first Uniting Hope Gala. More than 224 guests filled the room—an incredible turnout—and together, we raised over $165,000, surpassing our goal!

This night would not have been possible without the tireless efforts of our board, staff, volunteers, sponsors, Bethlehem Church (our gracious host), and every guest who gave so generously. Your support fuels real, tangible impact for vulnerable children and families navigating foster care in our community.

Thank you for believing in this mission and stepping forward with such generosity.

Pure Religion Sunday Is Next Month

On November 9, churches around the world will pause to reflect on God’s heart for vulnerable children and families—an invitation we see clearly in James 1:27.

We’re honored to participate at two local churches:

  • Grace Monroe – November 9
  • Watkinsville First Baptist – November 9
  • Lunch & Learn Follow-Ups – November 16

These gatherings are a meaningful opportunity to share the realities of foster care and invite others to begin discerning their role in this work.

Foster Family Camping Trip Recap

Our 2nd Annual Uniting Hope Camping Trip at High Falls State Park was a joy-filled weekend to remember!

A heartfelt thank you to:

  • South Point Church for kids’ activities and a meal
  • Momentum Christian Church, Joshua’s Place Church, and Towaliga Baptist Church for providing meals
  • Melinda Walker and Leta Hays for generously supplying the s’mores and coffee bar

It was a sweet time of rest, connection, and community for the foster families we’re honored to serve.

Loganville First Baptist Serves Uniting Hope

We are continually grateful for our church partners and the many ways they pour into this ministry.

Recently, volunteers from First Baptist Church Loganville spent their “Serve Week” blessing us in an incredibly practical way—they cleaned our old resource room and added epoxy paint to the floor. Their hard work created a refreshed, functional space that will support many families to come.

We’re so thankful for this act of service and partnership.

Join the Hope Club — Become a Monthly Donor

We’re excited to share that 23 individuals and families are now part of The Hope Club, our growing community of monthly supporters.

Monthly gifts—no matter the amount—create:

  • Consistent support for foster families
  • The ability to meet urgent needs
  • Space to plan ahead and expand our impact

This kind of steady partnership strengthens every aspect of our mission. If you’re looking for a meaningful way to get involved, we’d love for you to consider joining The Hope Club.

Together, We’re Changing the Story

Every event, every act of service, every donation, and every prayer reflects a shared belief: no child and no family should walk through foster care alone.

Thank you for being part of this work. Thank you for showing up with generosity, compassion, and hope.

We can’t wait to see what God continues to do through this incredible community.
